11/23 - Christmas Market - Canning Auction Sales Barn
Introducing the 2019 Christmas Market! We are so excited to showcase all of the amazing artists and crafters from all over Southern Illinois!
12/01 - Cookies with Mrs. Claus at Extension Office
On December 1st, children ages 5 and up can spend an afternoon learning to make, bake and decorate cookies along side the pro herself, Mrs. Claus! Each child will receive an apron courtesy of Love of Family & Home a cookie-cutter, and more!
Tickets are $25 per child, which includes entry for one adult. Tickets will go on sale November 1st and are very limited, so mark your calendars now!

12/06 - Tree Lighting Ceremony
Join us Friday, December 6th for the Murphysboro Hometown Christmas 3rd Annual Tree Lighting Ceremony at Town Center Park (next to Sallie Logan Library.) There will be food, music, carriage rides, hot cocoa, popcorn and more! Kids crafts will be available at no charge in the youth center building as well. Santa's cottage will be open for pictures with the children! Bring your phone or camera for photos! There will be a drop-off for the Key Club Toy/Coat/Food Drive. In the spirit of giving, please consider giving/donating to this great cause! They are asking for new or gently used toys and children's coats (not adults), and canned food.
12/07-08 - Festival of Trees (Spero Family Services)
Come bid on the one-of-a-kind trees and wreaths decorated by the community, in support of the missions of Spero Family Services. New this year, there will also be a vendor fair on Saturday! Bring the family for a weekend of fun!
12/08 - "The Grinch" movie at the Liberty 3pm
Join us for a free showing of "The Grinch" sponsored by Pete & Linda Polete of PLP Battery Supply. Admission to this event is free, however, we will be accepting donations at the door for new/slightly used toys to benefit Snowflake Square - The Giving Shop (more details to come on this new Murphysboro Hometown Christmas outreach program.) A donation is NOT required, but appreciated. Concession will also be available for purchase at the event. All concession provided by the Liberty Theater.
12/12 - Eat, Drink, Be Merry & Paint
Grab your girlfriends and join us for a holiday painting class with the talented Paula Maloney! This event is sponsored by First Bank & Trust Company of Murphysboro. Ticket price is $35. This includes all of your paint supplies and some yummy appetizers provided by 17th Street Bar & Grill! A cash bar will also be available. All proceeds benefit Murphysboro Hometown Christmas! Tickets can be purchased online. Tickets are limited, so grab one while you can!
12/14 - Santa's Cottage is open 4pm-6pm

12/14 - "Christmas Chronicles" movie at the Liberty
6pm - 9pm
Join us for a free showing of "The Christmas Chronicles" sponsored by Austin & Kathy Riggio of Century 21. 12/21 - Breakfast with Santa at the Event Center
Join Santa and his crew for breakfast! Photo ops, activities, yummy food, and lots of fun! A full breakfast will be provided in addition to sweet treats! Adult tickets: $15 each; Child ticket: $10 each. Tickets go on sale Sunday, December 1st at 7am and can be purchased online via the Eventbrite link above.
